I don't know how I missed this thread but I'm having the same problem with a twist. Mine seems to do this from start up. I've been noticing it for a few weeks now. Yesterday, I rode about 30 minutes and stopped. I came back out about 45 minutes later and cranked up. I pulled out making a right hand turn and the motor stuttered and as I was leaned to the right. As the bike started going down the engine came back to life and the bike righted itself. That was scary. I'm gonna dump some Seafoam into the tank....I'd been having "limp mode" problems and figured the TGS was causing this other problem but it was replaced last week and I haven't had a problem with "limp mode" but the stuttering problem lingers on.

My problem turned out to be the TPS, which was replaced and the problem hasn't recurred in three weeks. TBW bikes don't have a TPS, so this doesn't help you guys with newer bikes, but I'm throwing in my experience for those who have a TPS in the mix of things to worry about.

Lionsm13, I used about an ounce per gal... so about 5 or 6 ounces of Sea-Foam. I don't think it is that critical if you use more.

I only used it in one tank fuel, but I ran it for about 15 minutes pretty hard, then let it sit overnight. I did notice an improvement while I was running it hard, so the effect was almost immediate.

I don't believe bad gas was an issue, since I ran multiple tanks of fuel from different sources and the problem never changed beforehand.

I might also mention that I saw a friend remove his fuel pump and filter from his tank for a filter change on a fairly new bike. You would not believe the corrosion on the metal parts of assembly. The ethanol in our fuel is wrecking our fuel systems, so keep your fuel filter and hoses changed too!

Keep ur tank full to help retard the oxidation.
