Well I purchased an 09 flhtp today , but I can't fly to Colorado to pick it up until Wednesday...
I would like some ideas of what I should do to it when I get the funds and opportunity...
I will have to find a two up seat for it.
I know I would like to eventually install a radio.
Would definitely appreciate any info / opinions on pipes. (it has stock pipes and I will be riding it from Colorado to indiana that way)
Does anyone have any experiences with detachable backrest or tourpack?
I am new to the touring bike I currently have an 02 FXDXT (Dyna T-Sport) and any info / knowledge would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
Welcome to the touring section, for a grunt you are pretty smart in your bike choices, what you doing with the T Sport?
On the FLHP, I would put a AC, 555 cam , fat cat, get a good tune call it a day.
Might add the cruise control, re curve shield. That bike is bullet proof, enjoy it.
Thanks for the info, I haven't decided what is going to happen to the T-sport, the wife says keep it, but I just can't stand the Idea of it sitting in the garage for extended periods of time...
Good choice you won't be disappointed. I'v done so much to my cop glide that I had to make a list of the improvments, love changing things and making it mine. good luck and ride safe.
Unless of course you're a paratrooper then you may want to look at a different version. I have this one on order for my air cover
and to those who would ask, no I don't work for that company just think they are cool and know we vets like to show our pride! Thanks for your service CIB!
