Cass, you're right. The mount I found isn't designed to be used with the inner fairing pad. So I guess you have a choice. Mount without the pad and a mount with the pad. Here's the HD info for the mount without the pad.

MI, 96D Imagery Analyst (Squint) for just about 10 years (70-80). Never went Warrant even though I was pressed enough. Got out because of family illness stateside and couldn't get a compasionate reassignment or probably would have stayed in and went to "charm school". Crossed over into DOD civillian life doing pretty much the same job, once the feds opened back up the job market in 84.
