You should just lean the tune out some, run only conventional oil and low grade gas.

I just put the Jagg oil cooler on 2 weeks ago. I am still waiting on the temp gauge. But I can tell that it is running much cooler now.

Installed the vertical Jagg right after I purchased it. No parade fan.

So, this is sort of related: I have a stock HD cooler that sits low in front of my regulator. I have removed this cooler because I am replacing the regulator and stator/rotor but left the adapter where the filter mounts and the in/out oil lines are for the cooler. The Jagg ads say you HAVE to use adapter part# blah, blah, but do they mean you have to use any adaptor or THEIR adapter? What size oil lines do the Jagg's have? Thanks in advance.

I think it's 3/8" ID line for the Jagg. I haven't messed with mine in a while, but 3/8" seems right to me.

you do not have to use the Jagg filter adapter , however Jagg claims their adapter has a higher flo rate through it and less pressure drop at start up so they recommend you use it

Ah, OK. Funny because it's just a hunk of metal that adds an inlet and outlet pipe to the filter mount...maybe the Jagg ones are ported and polished 3/8th sounds about right for the hoses - I think the stockers are 3/8th as well.

Thanks for the info, appreciate it.

I went out for a nice ride the other day for about 5 hours and it was about 114 out in the middle of the day, neither one of the bikes exploded so i figure i am good without one. My Ultra does not have a oil temp gauge but the softail was about 225-240 which is normal for summertime. I swear some of these people in places up north are so afraid of "high" temperatures and when it comes to oil temps they throw every item known to man to cool it a few degrees, come on down here and then you will know the true definition of what hot actually is.

Is the hd oil cooler that bad or do you want the jagg with the fan?
