Ok Guy's I'm seeing a lot of smack talk but no real world data being thrown out... I'm wondering from those who had a oil temp gauge before installing a cooler, how much did it drop your temps (in the same conditions)? 10 degrees, 20 degrees, 30 degrees? Bottom line is I'm thinking about getting one however I'd like to know what I can expect to gain (or lose in the case). Thanks!

Gauge before the cooler, added a Jagg 10 row lowmount, 20 degree drop in like conditions.

Im looking at 30 degree temp drop with Ultra cool. This is in Ga. with 95 plus degree temps. The highest I have seen is 230/232 with a gauge.

Marv at Jagg told me about $375 + your oil filter adapter which you can use one with a by pass thermostat $149 or without one $109 , I am sure dealers will give you a break once they get them , you can usually get 15-20% off through dealers

I'm not sure what the price point will be for Jagg's Fan system. I can't imagine much more than 100 bucks more than a standard, but it's hard to say without knowing the manufacturer and specifications of the fans; they start to get expensive when they are built to high temp and waterproof specifications. The system will be user configured, so you will choose the adapter you want and pay acordingly. I am confident that the Jagg will outperform the Ultracool, been running my own Jagg based system for 3 years now and my results far excede the reports of the Ultracool users.

Have put more miles on my H-D Cooler (no fan) - note, I also put Mobile 1 in bike; I assume it was H-D's "standard" oil prior to that. In S. FL, I'm seeing about a 25 degree drop in temperature for 1-3 gear stop/go traffic while in mid to high 80s. I'm very pleased, my pre-cooler high temp in these conditions was 289 degrees (techinally still safe) but now I run 240-250 in these conditions, with 265 the highest I have seen. The bike ran and still runs 240s in hot weather at 65-85 mph in 5-6 gear (perfect temp).

My conclusion would be to avoid the complexity of fans unless you are doing parades or other extraordinary stuff. Even though there is no airflow in stop & go, the extra surface area seems to be sufficient to cool nicely. Cheers, Kevin.

Been running an UltraCool oil cooler for 1-1/2 years. Fan cooled and looks good too. They've gone up a hundred bucks since I got mine tho'. Definetly worth it in heavy traffic.
