Looks like those who bought a 2011 with a power pack option kinda got screwed since you get the 103 standard now.
But once I complete my 95" build, my 2006 bike will have plenty of power so no big deal.
The water cooled tourers must be coming mid year.
I wouldn't say screwed. Can't get the color I have now in 2012.... 12's have the 103 but do they come with ABS and the security, which the powerpak did! Besides. the 103's are not coming free, they bumped the price of the standard SG up to 19.5K vice the 2011 price of 18,9K.

2012 models are $500 more, plus you still need to buy the security and ABS. 2011 guts didn't get screwed, they got the upcoming years new engine upgrade a year early. That is LUCKY my friend!
So if all touring models come with the 103 power plant, why pay about $2,300 more for the Ultra Limited over the Ultra Classic? Is it the ABS, Security and Tour Pak Rack? Maybe Chrome Wheels (but not tubeless)?
It was not, and neither was the oil cooler. Makes me wonder if they are using a different cam as well.
Beary
Actually, my '11 FHLX103 has the releases and the oil cooler. With the extrta cost of the security and ABS, plus the fact that the colors are not all that stunning....I am not upset to have bought my '11 last week!
I have a feeling the 103 will be around for a while. Doubt it Unless HD starts putting 120s in the CVOs and goes too 110s standard.
I expect 2013 will see 103s in all the big twins. Should have been that way a long time ago and without having it as a package but the MOCO wants to sell the upgrades so....
2013 is an Anniversary year. So the moco will most likely come up with the 110's for 110 yr and 120 cvo bikes just like they did with the 103 .. but that is just my
And the mighty propaganda machine works well brainwashing us all that we need bigger motors so our friends don't think our bikes are slow. I heard this same speech when the 96ci became standard. That is how you fish the best, convince the fish he needs the bait.
The SE compensator was standard on all 11 Turing bikes at no extra cost.
I think it's cool that the 12's have a 103 ci, even knowing they don't have a lot more power I still like it. With Polaris and most all the jap bikes over 100 ci they pretty much had to.
I think we will see more changes in 2013 for the 110th anniversary... Like maybe a 110 ci standard on some models ????
The SE compensator was standard on all 11 touring bikes? where did you see/read that? just askin...........The ACRs arent cheap or easy to add later either it tells me Harley is givin us a platform with a lot of potential to make serious power, basically a nod to the performance minded folks.
,
Harley is doing just enough to get a steady flow of repeat buyers who upgrade every few years...very smart. For those who don't think the new colors look good, I suggest you see them in person. I just saw the Big Blue Pearl on a FLHX and it was stunning. I would say it's probably the best blue I have ever seen on a Harley...tons of flake that pops in the sun. The Ember Red was also very nice with a lot of pop. It was very close to the Candy Red Sunglo they offered in 2008 (a 1 year color). They didn't have the White Hot Pearly yet but I have a feeling it's going to be a knockout color too.
Hmmmm....does that mean my 07 FLHP with 103" engine, ACR's and oil cooler is really a 2012? Add Andrews 54h's...that is the way it should come from the factory.
