PhilM:
Do yourself a huge favor and do plenty of research, there are simple things you can do to 95" and/or 98" builds that will get ya a LOT more, for a LOT LESS!!!!
Ditto! you could get 100+Hp/100+Tq from a 95" build, and still be ahead of the game. And for a LOT less money!!!!

I've been researching the whole subject for quite a while. I have to agree that I can get the 100+100 from a 95". For the type riding I do, long distance and lots of it, the 95" should be enough. But if the price is right, you never know. I've got to weigh the cost vs gain. I already told them that I'll have to test ride a 110" conversion before I jump into that one. I really don't want so much power in a bagger that you can't keep the rear end hooked up.

The only thing required to keep the rear tire hooked up is having a thick enough wire between your brain and right hand

I will be curious how it goes! I am waiting for delivery of my 2007 FLHRC. It should be in within the next week or two. I am having the 110 kit installed right away (110 kit, SERT, maybe V&H True Duals) along with a tour seat and tour pack. With the NH winter rapidly approaching, and my insurance going into "off season mode" on 12/1, I may not be able to ride the bike until spring!

I am chomping at the bit waiting for the ride!

I hear ya'. We've got a serv.mgr./tuner that really knows how to build strong motor. He built up a Road King for one of the guys last spring that literally spun the rear tire on the rim. He's built a couple last summer that will hold the front wheel in 3rd. I don't need that much juice. Just enough to "get away"! LOL!!

I read a magazine review of one of the 110CI (stock) SE bikes. They ran it on the dyno & found it had less than 100 hp. Forgot the torque values. I suspect it could be a fire breathing monster with the right heads, etc., but not as a stock machine.

Depends on how much power you want, how much you value braggin' rights & how deep your pockets are!

The cardinal rule for Horsepower is how fast do you want to go & can you afford it!!!

I think that the 110 with the proper air clearner and exhaust, would be great!

I'm real interested in finding out how that turns out. Mostly interested in the power per dollar spent aspect.
