Be happy with your bike and don't fall for the propaganda of trading because of the changes. I have an 08 and was told I should trade when the 09's came out because of the new frame. And every year it is something else to suck you in to the next model. Be happy with what you have and ride it until it no longer can be ridden.

Point well taken. It's always some new marketing ploy.I'm sure everyone could gripe from every model year.
It's just like everything else really, tv's, computers, etc. Each year there's a small change that "YOU MUST HAVE" to keep up with who.?. Enjoy your bike. I bet you have lots of mods that make it just right for you.
I had a '06 Ultra that I owed less than 2K on and traded it for an '11 limited. I love the 103 power and the 6 speed tranny BUT now I'm back in the hole, big time. My 06 was a great bike!

Agree I am keeping my '09 FLHX. I am interested in what the "integrated" oil cooler is. I want a cooler but am concerned of leaks. Hopefully HD invented a good product and is available for older bikes.
...the year is 2020...the conversation here on the forum goes something like this..."damn!..the 2021 models have 186" motors standard...air-conditioned seats...and a 2-speed reverse..great...right after I sank a lot of money into my 180".....don't worry about it...trade every 10 years and you will be a happy man...trade every 2 and you'll never be satisfied.....

My 09 came with all this, I guess it was just before it's time.
I like the new bikes, but I don't like them ten thousand dollars better than my bike. Take the money you would have spent on the upgrade bike and put it into your motor. You'll run rings around any of the new bikes, and when your bike is paid for, it's even sweeter.
