I'm waiting for the 2018 models to come out. I hear they will have jet engines and be able to climb to an altitude of 35000 feet. I want to park mine at the top of Mount Everest and have a hot beer. Kewl.
Then it will be time to trade when the 2020's come out because they will have catless V Twin turbo super charged rocket engines with afterburners and climb to 50,000 ft. It never stops...
I'll keep my '09. I love it too much to trade. Plus it would take me a week to swap all the parts back. I have another year to pay it off then I will start putting each payment into savings for motor work.
Well they pretty much had to go to a 103 due to the loss of power from the cats they all must now have and talk about running hot ugh
Yup. Everything I've read on the 103" w/ cats is that it does not feel much different than a pre-cat 96". *shrug*
For $500 more in 2012 you get a 103" with automatic compression release and an oil cooler. The result? Basically the same performance as a catless '09.
I was never even slightly tempted by the 10's or 11's, but the '12 is though. I do not know how much of a difference the oil cooler will make in helping the bike run cooler, but I bet that 103" delivers a bit better with after a stage 1 than my 96" will.
