Default Road Tech Navigation Interface Module Failure

I install the Road Tech NIM on my 2010 Ultra Classic with a Road Tech Zumo 660. It worked good, interrupting the radio/MP3 when GPS voice commands were given. Then suddenly after about 2000 miles of use the GPS commands stopped coming through. The music still gets interrupted when you would expect to hear a GPS command, but there is silence. I tried the GPS standalone and it works fine with the GPS commands interrupting the MP3 player on the GPS's internal speaker.

Any ideas of what might have gone wrong?

I have one and have had no problems yet (Knock on wood), but others have. There are quite a few threads on this issue. IF you bought the GPS at the same time you bought the bike it should be covered under your warranty. Call the moco and let them know your having a problem, it won't be news to them for the threads I've seen here.

Make sure your speaker switch is switched all the way to the back with the light on...

Make sure the speaker switch is in the down position, light on. Good luck.

Thumbs up I'll be damned!

Thanks guys. The speaker switch was the problem. Another well documented "feature" I've encountered since getting involved with the Road Tech stuff.
