Is it OK to charge Cell Phone with cigarette lighter plug in?

Default Is it OK to charge Cell Phone with cigarette lighter plug in?
I was wanting to use my cigarette lighter plug in on my fairing to charge my cell phone.I noticed in my manual it said not to use it to power accessories because it could cause damage.Can anyone tell me if it's ok or not for a cell phone ? I already have the Cigarette plug in adapter that came with my phone. Probably doesn't make any difference but my bike is a 2010 Ultra Classic. Thanks!

Nine works fine.. I used it on a long trip and it charged my iphone with no problems

I use mine for charging phones, Ipods or what ever.

before you plug it in for the first time, check the polarity of your lighter socket. there have been some reports from folks having there sockets wired backwards.

You can plug in any gadget as long it has lighter or USB lighter adopter plug ins.

Just be careful if you have to do a full lock turn to the left. Your plug in may hit the tank.

We use ours to run the navigation system for our Droid X cell phone, and also to pump up our air mattress in our Bunkhouse camper. No problems.

The warning has to do with the ampere rating of the circuit that feeds it. Your cell phone charger doesn't come anywhere near the maximum that this circuit can handle safely.
