Bike security questions.....
Good day, Riders.
This past week-end I went through the owner's manual and tried to associate the key FOB with my scoot, a '06 FLHTCUSE.
After installing a new battery in the FOB, I still couldn't get the bike alarm system to "match up" with the FOB.
This got me thinking. Would a personal security code installed by a dealership prevent this alarm association?
How does one ensure that all security codes are cleared out of the system? How does one reset the security system? Does disconnecting the battery accomplish this?
There is nothing in the Owner's manual that describes how to clear any security codes.
I purchased the bike used but the previous/initial owner informs me that he never did use the bike security.
