Ohlins #2-3
Now I'm no suspension expert, but Howard is and he is also very patient. He insists that you research your decision and learn about setting the shocks up before buying.
I installed them about 10 days ago and finally had a chance to put some decent miles on them this weekend. Install was very straight forward. Remove old ones and bolt on the Ohlins. I then set up the sag for solo and 2 up riding. Difference was only a 2 click adjustment.
On first ride I was expecting it to be like a Cadillac. Wrong. It's still a motorcycle and you do feel the bumps. The huge difference is the rear tire actually stays on the ground. I went searching out every hole and bump I could find and not once did it feel like I was getting thrown of the bike.
Tried a couple emergency stops as well. With the stock air shocks the rear end would bounce up and down. With the Ohlins I just feel the ABS working and the wheel stays in contact with the road.
I have to say these shocks have been the best money I have spent so far on my bike.
