Iv'e seen a couple, but they are few and far between, even here in Florida. They probably help a little, but they are butt ugly. I'd get an oil cooler first.
Alot depends on your riding. The fan is good if you are in stop and go traffic or parade duty. The oil cooler only works while the bike is in motion. So if you are just in a hot climate and cruising, the oil cooler is the best choice. If you get stuck in traffic alot, then the fan would work best.
I have both the fan and the H-D preimum oil cooler. Only complaint about that oil cooler is that it picks up stones from the front tire to much.
I plan on doing something to mine to move it up and put an additional fan behind it for draggin air through the oil cooler when standing still in the heat. Will put onto the same relay ckt that the fan is on. I may get blown off the bike in the hot weather when all kick on, but to me thats better then the engine over heating and distroying the oil or going into heat management!
Check Ebay and try to find one cheaper. Put it on and if you are good with it....then that's done. If you don't like it, then you can sell it back on Ebay.
