Default Remap....

Hi y'all. Hope everyone had a good weekend. For those of you who can't ride due to weather.........sorry. It as about 90 here Sat and we had a real nice ride out to the lake. Now that I have said that, I have a question. I bought Thunder Header slip ons and had them installed Sat. I love the sound! I have not done the intake yet. Ordered the Stage 1 from Chicago HD today. My dealer said it would not hurt anything to get the remap done while waiting for the intake. They told me Sat that I did not need to do it for the slip ons, just after I get the Stage 1. Any thoughts on that? I was planning to get the remap done tomorrow. Stage 1 won't be here for a couple of weeks. Thanks guys.

Agree with Larry. Wait until you get the A/C. What fuel management are you getting the map for?

I read your question but I am not sure I understood. Are you referring to (for example) a PC 3? I don't have one of those yet. Mama is not getting off the checkbook so quick since I got the pipes and the Stage 1 kit. Do I need the PC?

You might be able to get by with just the download, some have and some have not had it work for them. Instead of spending the $150 or so on the download, most folks just spend a little more ($277) for the PCIII delivered with a canned map to your door. I personally would not waste the money on the download.

I was told from the dealer not to do the Harley download. They said they have not been succesfull. Alot of people complaining. They recommended a PCIII.

Put the slip on's on order a PCIII when the air cleaner come is put it on add the PCIII and be done. I am sure you will be quite pleased with the difference. Plus the PC gives you flexibility for any future mods whereas a download does not. Just my thoughts.
