My wife only recently started riding with me, but the catch is that she has a glass or two of wine BEFORE she gets on. Yeah, it scares her a bit, but it's a relaxed scared. I won't take a drink and get on to ride, but if that's what it takes for her to feel comfortable, it's OK with me.
u cant change how she feels give her time and she will come around or dont lean the to where she isnt comfortable. make her feel comfortable or get a solo seat.
1) ride slower for a while
2) tell her to think of herself as an airplane banking into turns (she's fighting the idea)
3) take her for a ride and ask HER where to turn (make her part of it)
4) send the wine you don't give her to me.
Build her trust in the team ride thing..slowly. You do have the rest of your life, you know.
She might be one of those folks that just don't like motorcycles. They do exist. My wife can't stand riding on the back of mine but she loves riding her own. My first wife was scared to death of them and road with me one time for about two miles before making me stop and let her off. That was on a KZ 900 years ago. She said I went to fast...whatever that means.
Don't try and force her or she will wind up resenting you or worse yet, the bike. Me and the first one just reached an understanding that I had to have so much time to myself for the bike. It did not really take away from my enjoyment that she did not want to share it as we had lots of other things that we did. Good luck.
Think about it. She has absolutely no control at all. She's at your mercy and being a little frightened just makes it worse for her. Some people can't deal with it.Like HD trader said take it really easy for her, try not to do things you know are going to scare her. If she can get relaxed and see that it's fun, she'll be alright. IF not do like roadglide rick said, those bikes look great with a solo seat on it.
