Default Upgrade help needed!

I have a 2011 RKC on it's way to me over here in Germany where I am stationed.
I got the 103". Got pipes/ air intake/ and SE 255 cams coming. Powercommander with auto tune to make it all good. Also about to buy a SE Big Twin Compensator, my question is, is there anything else I NEED to make these cams work? I am not looking to make things even better, just want to know if I have everything I need to make the cam change run. It takes a few weeks to get things here and do not want to come up short at the time of install!

Doesn't the '11 RKC already have the SE compensator stock??
Sounds like you have it covered so long as they are sending you the install gasket/bearing set, maybe a set of Q/A pushrods and push rod tubes if you want to go that way? Saves pulling heads off and extra gaskets/labour..

Jay is right that the SE comp is stock on '11 U.S. touring bikes, but I don't know about HDI, so if yours will be a Euro-market bike I can't say if it'll have the upgrade or not.

Anyway, assuming you're doing the cam job yourself you'll need more than just the cams. You'll need gaskets, o-rings, etc.--all of these available in various kits both from HD and third party sources. The HD kit is expensive and full of parts you won't need, including a bunch of INA bearings, so I would buy the Fuel Moto kit for $50 which also includes the Torrington bearings. OTOH if you'll be installing adjustable pushrods you'll only need the nosecone gasket, three o-rings (two in the cam plate and one for the oil-pump), as the pushrod kit should include the tube o-rings. You'll also need some means of removing and installing the inner cam bearings, and there are various options for that. Read the threads referenced here and watch the following video. Of course if you're not doing the work we can assume whoever is will know what he needs.

Cam Install Video.

Thanks you! Yes the bike is US spec. Proud American here, just currently serving in Europe!
So I do not need the SE Comp, as it is already included, check. And Thanks!

Thank you both. Iclick - you sound like you have done this once or twice!

Thank you both again!

In you original post you said pipes. If your just getting slip-on I suggest you also get the fuel-moto head pipe also. Got to let it breath.

Beauty glad we could save you a few Euros lol.. Mine's going in for the Woods 555 kit, install is tomorrow. They will be doing a before and after dyno run so i will have some idea of the difference it will make.
Should be a nice jump, just doing the pipe/AC/PC-V from Fuel Moto woke it up..
