Default What is the right size trailer?

I am looking to get a trailer for my Softail and my husband's Electra Glide. Has anyone trailered this combo and if so, what size works best?

Than

get an 8ft wide trailer minimum, you'll run into problems if you have someone with another batwing bike that ever wants to use it. In fact it's really tight with a 7ft and a touring bike with a softail

If you want an enclosed trailer, you should be able to do it with a 7'X14' if you stagger the bikes. A GOOD trailer dealer will be able to help you make your choice.

Open trailer....Two place Kendon...Wife rides a Heritage and I have my Streetglide and they fit just fine on it and we tow quite a bit during the winter season to the warmer regions to get our motorcycling fix in when we can't ride here at home!

Enclosed. I would highly recommend a 8 foot x 14 foot and still slightly stagger the bikes because it's a pain in the azz to tie down the bikes when your trying to squeeze between a wall and a bike!

Default trailer

I have the 8x10 with of this one:
http://www.homesteadertrailer.com/ch...-trailers.html

I put a UC and a RK in it, staggered, they fit just right. (I also store them in the trailer for the winter).

I am very happy with it. It has a ramp and tie downs for the bikes. We take it every where we go on vacation.

I have a Kendon 2 bike trailer

wife has a Yamaha 650 cruiser and my SG fit no problem

I would also add with the kendon - get the rock chip gaurd - also get the third wheel lock in the middle incase you ever need to use the trailer to only tow one, that way all the weight is evenly distributed

We use a 7x12 enclosed dual axle to trailer a street glide and a deluxe (with hard bags). IMO its the right size. Both bikes fit easily. You definitely do not need 14' length unless you plan on putting lots of extra stuff in the trailer. We have plenty of room front and rear for "stuff". For width, the 7' is enough, and its no problem to strap-down. But if you want more room to get around the bikes, 8' obviously is better. Lastly, I highly recommend using Condor chocks. Makes loading with one person easy and really holds the big bikes securely.

+2 on the Kendon I have one myself. Good quality and very inexpensive and can easily handle both bikes.
