Personally, I have hundreds of thousands of miles on E-Glides and never had a bag fall off. And it ain't just dumb luck. If you correctly install them (the Dzus fasteners) they are bullet proof.
Ya know, they use Dzus fasteners on aircraft and 200 mph+ race cars. If those guys can make them work (and trust them) a few HD riders should be able to also.
Brukus must be laughin' all the way to the bank.
Just sayin'.
I used bolts flat washers and nylock nuts and carry wrenches to take off if I need to.
Works great and no one is going to be able to back the nylock nuts .

True, but I'd bet the pins on the cars and planes are of much better quality.
Pretty easy to bend them out of shape.

I think maybe you and some other's are missing the main reason Owner's started replacing the Dzuz fastener's. Thieves were walking up to mostly Bagger's without Tour-Pak's, using a flat blade screwdriver and pop the Dzuz fastener end off and off with your bags in just a few seconds. The Tour-Pak's made it hard to get to the back fastener's, so they mostly picked on the ones without Tour-paks. That's the reason I did it, plus I don't worry now about spreading the end of the Dzuz pin trying to line it up when putting the bags back on. I bought everything I needed to replace them at ACE Hardware for the price of one Dzuz fastener at the Dealer.

No, they're about the same quality. There isn't a lot of force on these fasteners because the weight of the bag sits on the guard bar. I might could be convinced one fastener failed, but two? There has to be more to the story. They do snap in place. If the rider doesn't feel the snap, they may need to readjust the bag or fastener nut.

Beady
I found that it's much easier on the pins if the mounting brackets are adjusted properly
