Brukus, more power to ya, man. You managed to create a market for an unnecessary product. I gotta respect that.

I developed the SaddlebagSecure for my own personal use. Never had any intention of doing any more with it. I wanted a way to secure my bags from theft and they still come off quickly. I had never heard of bags falling off at the time, either - but I knew how easily they could be stolen, I was preparing for a trip to the Keys and I was tired of lugging the bags in the hotel at night when I traveled.
I also had had the pins bend on me and I just didn't like them. Then riding buddies saw the SaddlebagSecure (which wasn't even named at that time) and they wanted them. Then others suggested I should sell them. And that's where the business started.
ALL of the rest of the securing products I have designed have come about because customers have contacted us about making a product to secure something because of their own experience. The tour pack securing device we are about to launch - same thing. We have had a ton of requests for that.
We don't create a market - we meet our customers' needs. It had never entered my mind about a seat being stolen until customers kept asking for a securing device for their seats.
The ShieldShackle was as much to stabilize the detachable windshield as anything - but then we started hearing about guys having them stolen AND wind blowing them off from the back side.
We get to hear all the stories of what's been stolen. A guy from Texas called just a couple of days ago to order the SaddlebagSecure because he had new custom painted bags and knew of 2 friends in his riding group who had had their bags stolen recently. And he had just been at his dealer standing talking and a guy drove up with 2 different bags because he had lost one going down the road.
That's great it hasn't happened to you in many years. But it does happen. And we're just trying to help bikers be able to go out there, enjoy their ride, and not worry about it. Park their bike at a hotel and know everything will be attached the next morning. Unlike the guy whose Mustang seat was gone when he went out the next morning and he road the 200 miles home sitting on his rolled up jacket.

so the bag will take 6 - 8 weeks to get since it's black, and the couple is out everything that was run over.
WTF is going on with these bags and why are they falling off.
I think I'm going to drill a hole in mine and tie wrap it to the frame.
When i bought my RK I wouldn't even accept delivery of it until the bag rails had been installed.
