hopped up my 103 a tad

Default hopped up my 103 a tad

Today I had the following installed:

SE 255 cams
SE slim/tapered adjustable pushrods
Gutted head pipe (cat removed)
Timken/Torrington inner cam bearings (replaced the cheapo stockers)

This along with the Klockwerk Super Saver mufflers I already had and some XIEDS

Runs HARD, strong lope at idle.

if moving in 1st gear and hit the throttle, will break the tire loose.

Unbelieveable power across the RPM range.

This, was after I removed the cover off of my intake so that it could breathe like it will when my Arless Ness Big Sucka 2 arrives in 2-3 days.

My Power Commander 5 will also be here shortly from Fuel Moto.

bike runs so hard, makes me wonder if I should jsut return the PC-V and save the coin. The XIED'S seem to be doing the job! :O

I highly recommend this. It is ALOT louder with the cat removed.

Work was done by Lyle Larson @ Speed Pro's in Rapid City. Absolutely top notch work, and I HIGHLY recommend him.

You might want to talk to Jamie about the Xieds myth. Your bike needs a fuel management system, and especially now that you have replaced cams, probably some timing and spark adjustments as well. So the PCV should do the trick, especially if Jamie pre-loaded the best-fit map for your setup. Jamie should be able to give you the info you seek.

PC-V from Jamie @ Fuel moto will be here either tomorrow or the next day.

After that is installed, I will later decide if I want to add auto tuners to it to make it "real time" precise.

Again, these cams are PERFECT for an FL.

It doesn't take much to wake up the stock 103. A/C, pipe w/o cat, tuner, & cam and you got a bike that responds like it's suppose to and without the heat.

I too have a set of CVO 255 cams anxiously awaiting install. Trying to decide if I'm gutting the CAT or going with the Jackpot 2\1\2 head-pipes....Glad to hear the 255s your happy with. Do you have the 96 or the 103?
