I just finished a 9000 mile ride, left Arizona , went to Michigan met with friends made the loop around Lake Superior to the U.P. and back to Michigan then on to York, PA
then back home to Arizona, saw some of the most beautiful parts of the country and lots of Harley dealers. So 18 states and part of Canada. It was a great ride I was gone 5 weeks. But you guys have mentioned some other places that I have not been and will visit soon.

I just want to be able to keep riding as much as I can and seeing as many new things/places as possible.
Ultimately I for sure want to:
Ride the tail of the dragon
Ride to Alaska (Dad and I have discussed it)
Being able to just ride and not worry about time constraints.

It sucks but I had to cash in my bucket list now while I still could, dont know when that day will get here but I took the trip of a life time to Alaska and back. All I can say is you never no when life is gonna bite you in the *** like it did to me, so get out and do what you can while you still can and enjoy every moment.
I wanna ship my bike to Alaska (work for an airline...hear I get a pretty good rate?) ride all around Alaska...ride down from prudhoe bay...alcan highway...PCH to San Diego...Las Vegas...time it for Sturgis...drop the bike off in Little Chut (Fuel Moto 107) stay w/some friends in Manitowoc...ride down for the 110 ann'y in Milwaukee...then slide in sideways home to Michigan!
So if my boss is reading this (I work another job also)...I'll need the last 2 week of July 2013 off thru the 1st week of September 2013 off. I'll also need my Christmas bonus and my 2 weeks vacation pay before I leave.
anybody else wanna go?
man oh man...I can't wait!

Great topic....I'm leaving for my trip that will cover a LOT of my bucket list items on 8/3. The trip is going to be right at 6000 miles over 14 days, including Little Big Horn Battlefield, Bear Tooth Pass, Yellowstone, Sturgis, Hannibal to visit Mark Twain's home and Tupelo for Elvis' birth place. I'll be going through 17 states.
AFTER this trip, my bucket list includes:
1. Go through EVERY state (I've got 22 left after the Sturgis trip)
2. Go to Sturgis with my son (he's a 33 year old Harley Mechanic)...we probably won't go during the rally (he can't get off work then)
3. Go to Laconia Bike Week
4. Go up the east coast with my son (we live in GA)....stopping whenever we feel like it for as long as we need.
My trip this year is more rigid than I wanted, but I wanted to make sure I was set for hotels since I'm not sure what will be available around Sturgis.
I've ridden The Dragon (did it this weekend.....it was BEAUTIFUL) and also rode back home on 28....I found that beautiful without all of the traffic.
Anyway....just hope to keep enjoying my bike and the time I spend on it.
