throttle issue?????
I'm puzzled and any help is appreciated..I have an 08 ultra and I installed new grips last weekend with no problem, but I went riding on sunday and noticed on two occasions that my throttle didnt respond.
I had the throttle maxed out on the highway and it did nothing for a minute. I downshifted and then everything was fine.
This happened twice all day (250 mile ride), is there something I did wrong or can check?

'throttle maxed out on the highway and it did nothing for a minute.'??? glad you didn't climb off. Just wondering how fast and what gear you were in when you did the w.o.t. to see what would happen next? What gear did you drop to and it responded? Is your's throttle by wire or does it have the two cables coming off the throttle?

The first thing I'd check is to make sure you got the new grip "engaged" with the splines on the end of the TGS as Harley calls it. If you moved your brake & switch assy out any it might be slipping. H-D warranty replaced my TGS on my '10 FLHX. It was jerky & stiff feeling. There are other issues with the TBW system. My daughter's '11 FLHX, w/ about 300 miles on the clock, quit like yours, when she was just starting to accel. from stop. It wouldn't do anything but idle. The ck engine light on solid. I had to pull the battery cable off for awhile to clear it, then it was back to normal. The dealer checked it for error code but there wasn't a code, said they would have to have an error code before warranty would replace the ECM. It's had no more errors for about 4k miles but that sucks to have to wait for her to be stranded.
