Default Throttle cable problem

I have just had my cables replaced on my 07 FLHX. I now notice that the throttle sticks a little. When the bike is off and I move the throttle I can hear a little clicking inside the air cleaner. The dealer said it shoud work its way out, does this sound right? The throttle grip seems to be loser than I remember, it seems like I can twist it up a lot more.
Has anyone had this happen to them?

"They all do that" "It'll fix it's self"!!?? Sounds like you need a better dealer. Properly lubed, properly installed cables should work smoothly with NO sound or sticking.

Maybe they lost one of the brass barrels. For sticking check the throttle grip housing is not tight against the end of handlebar.

I also noticed that I can twist the grip up to reduce throttle but the grip itself seems to move higher than normal. Almost like the grip is not tight enough?

if the dealer did this work- go in and have them fix it. and you should name names, I wouldn't want to take my bike in there.

even if they refuse- get paperwork that shows you took it back for operational problems on parts they installed.

this paperwork will be crucial should you have a wreck.

no kidding.

something like that happened to one of my bosses, shutting down the company and laying everyone off while he recovered.
