I had a chrome front end done on my 07 road glide paid $658.00 parts and labor only to find out most dealers including mine are running a special $100.00 off labor if you have this done starting 10/9 and ending 1/30/07. So when I called to ask why I ddn't get this deal I was told it was allready done and paid for he would make good next time my bike was in for service or add ons. I probably won't be back there for anything except a major brake down because its 90 miles out of my way. So what would you do?
Was he running the sale? If not, then who's fault is it for not shopping around? I say he did more than he needed to buy offering you a discount next time.
I had the same thing happen when my dealer was offering a Battery Tender with 1K service and found out after the work was done. I went back and asked them why they didn't tell me that and the guy said he for got. That explains why my PC 3 fell out of the side cover and lodged between the frame and exhaust and melted when I had it installed, ( they forgot to secure it ). These dealers just don't give a s--t about you once you take delivery of the bike it seems.
P.S They never forget to CHARGE you
Steve
he bike. They sure are nice when your shopping though.
Yes he was running the sale and yes I did shop around
If the dealer was participating in that promotion and you purchased your bike within the timeline, they owe you that money.
You shouln't have to spend more money by doing a service or buying accesories to get that money back.
