Well despite all the comments of it won't hold anything I went with what I wanted and bought a Razor PAC. Granted this is not a 2up cross country PAC but it is just the extra space I needed for my trips. Just a quick test it easily held my rainsuit (it's a pretty big bag), helmet, and my armored leather coat with room to spare. I could not get those same 3 items in a saddlebag. So adding a third saddlebag is plenty of space for me.
Only issues are I ordered the lock locally to make sure it was keyed to my bike and dealer must of ordered the wrong thing. All I have is the cylinder and nothing else.
I also planned to use the backrest that comes with my C&C. It fits fine but the PAC has the holes fir the backrest pad. Is there anything to cover this or am I going to have to get the backrest.
Alot depends on what you want it for.... the OP here has it set up as a solo bike and it looks great - I bought my bike in 04 and of course it came with the king pac - now that big box just did not work for me and the wife would fill it up - Iam 5'6" and that extra top weight was NOT for me, lol.... got the chopped pac and it LOOKS great to me and it has worked great for storage since 05 - bike has 60K and has made three (4+ week) coast to coast on it with both the wife and me. Plenty of room...
So, all depends on what you want it for... the Razor might be too small for Two people to use on a several week tour but for solo = seems to work for this OP and again, looks great
How is the finish on the paint. I just got my king pack and a couple spots looks like they sprayed over lint or dust. The razor looks good on you bike. I got the premium rack to go along with my rack. I think the extra chrome looks nice and adds extra storage options if needed
