My 05 ultra has 113,000 miles on it and the front lower rubber engine mount looks real flat and worn out. When the engine is idling it shakes a lot. Has anyone out there changed this and how hard is it to change? I'm assuming that with this many miles it could b worn out.
Can't help with the motor mount. I did take mine apart to the point I could have changed it, but mine was OK so I left it.
Now my question is, How many repairs have you had to do with that many miles? Have you been into the top end and does it burn oil? I've got 54K on my 08 and I'm wondering how much more I can go before I can expect to have to go into the top end.
Thanks
Randy

It's not difficult to change. Open the below link to the Glide Pro website; they have a video showing how to install their front motor mount. I am not advoacating for Glide Pro, although it is a great product, but the instructional video will be informative and help you.
If you can find one, buy a Buell front motor mount; PN L0501.2. The rubber is a little softer and will dampen engine movement a bit better than the new stiffer one for the touring bikes. Yours is the 16207-79B but that PN is obsolete. There have been two upgrades; the -79C and -79D. The rubber has gotten stiffer with each upgrade. It is my understanding that the-79D, being stiffer, minimizes motor movement but consequently transmits more vibration to the frame, bars and foot boars. However, it is said that it "settles in" after 500 miles or so and is not so bad.
I run the Buell mount on my 02 FLHT but when it goes south, I will upgrade to the Glide Pro.
MY bike is completely stock. I mean evertything motor wise. Even the pipes. I had the cam chest area completely rebuilt at 65,000 miles. They put all new stuff int there. Cam bearings, backing plate, oil pump tensioners and shoes. 89,000 the stator went out. Other than that the heads have never been off the bike. The bike runs as good now as it did when I first got it. I have used Harley Synthetic since the 1,000 first oil change. I ride this bike hard. i don't rip through the gears but I ride it 80-90 mph on my trips.
