I have a 2010 strretglide,just took it in to get my second radio replaced,yes I said second,in as little as 12 months.I was at 15400kms so i figured why not get my 16km service at the same time. So apone arival to my local hd shop,they told me that there is a problem,and that the tech was on a road test with my bike with it started .Says it wouldnt go over 2000rpm and when he came back the code told them it was the Fuel Induction Module,and its a restriced part.What's that?And thats its going to take 3 weeks for me to get my bike back.This is after haveing the radio out of my bike for 2 weeks and them wanting me to leave it there till the new one comes in.What a freakn joke i said.5 weeks in the middle of our summer with a brand new bike that i cannot ride.Sorry for the rant,but i needed to vent.I guess my queston is. Is there or do i have any recourse?
Is my local HD shop giving me the runaround?

Absolutely, the dealer should give you a rental for free or absolute minimal charge.

 

Well i called em today.He laughed, when i asked if i could get a loner.
Says "we dont give out loners ".Guess im stuck waiting.

 

I'd call the mother ship and complain, my dealership gave me a loaner when mine was down and out.

 

I have been down since July 5th waiting for the same induction module! called the mother ship and they basicly told me to "pond sand". Part is on back order from a new vender and they hadn't even been casted yet as of Monday the 1st. Tried to get a loaner or rental and was told they were not obligated to do so. Gotta love em!

 

Oh ya.....I have a 2010 streetglide also with 14,500 miles on her. Love the ride but hate the mother ship !
