Shakey, I have a JVC head unit that does the same, aslo has built in Sd card reader, I would use it, but dont want to lose cb, com, and hand controls.

I replaced my radio with a Sony S100(?) on my bike a couple weeks ago. It holds the ipod inside the radio in a tray. I just use a flash drive ($10) in the radio for songs. Download songs for free off youtube.

I actually hooked it up to the laptop that has my itunes, and it syncs without issue, so the logic board is till good, so Im gonna get the interface, put the fukked up ipod in my fairing and will always have tunes....when I do the winter maintenance, ill take it back out, re sync it, and have any new tunes....

I just thought it was damn funny, cause I asked my salesman when I bought the bike, "how the hell do you justify charging $500 so I can control a $300 toy?"

I now have my answer...
There are places online where you can buy replacement parts for it. If it still works, it might be worth it. My buddy at work has changed out two glass fronts on ipods now with really good results.

Advanced audio Harman/ Kardon stereo $999,Ipod interface $500, Ipod $300, Boom speakers $149, aftermarket exhaust, dyno, hiflo intake, race tuner $2000. These Harley things are expensive noise makers.

70 mph impact on the highway.
This will not help everyone but I think it is a slick idea for my iPhone 4

@sanlyn Yeah I have found a place that sells the screen and the back plate, as the back plate was damaged in the corner,,,, the problem is, the damage to the corner was at the wifi antenna, and I am no good a micro soldering to put a new antenna in, that corner also has what remains of the on/off/volume cable, again not good at micro soldering. So im just gonna use it as a music holder and keep it in the fairing.

Im due for an upgrade with Verizon, the iphone is only 3 bills with a new plan, and when I switch off that phone in two years, I have an ipod.

@horse Yes sir, expensive as hell....

In the meantime, I bought the $45 magnetic bag that goes on the tank, putting my blackberry in it. Should have done that in the first place, but new I didnt want that as a permanent solution, and wanted the integration,,, so I took the cheap way out, and that always ends up being the expensive way huh?

And if anyone here uses bbm. my pin is 31035252, hit me up.
