+1 on these. great quality and fit. i bought my bike used and knew there was a problem with the brackets. took the outer fairing off and 3 out of 4 were broken. this took about 30 minutes to complete start to finish.

If you want to save some money, just DIY with some scrap metal most of us have lying around. Mine have lasted for >3 years, but I only modified the vertical brackets. Here are some old threads on how to do this:

Ordered the Fab Works parts Sunday evening and recieved them Wednesday. They look better then I could do in the garage with sheet metal, a grinder, and 6 pack. My other thought was duct hanging metal strap the kind with the holes already in it. Just bend and bolt, but this will look like a job I paid $46.00 for.

My 2010 StreetGlide is down for painting so I checked my mounts while the fairing was apart. Nothing broken........yet, at 25K miles. The "guts" behind my front fairing look different from these photos.

As mentioned in the thread... this repair is for 2009 and earlier. HD fixed the problem on 2010 models... supposedly.

Brackets fit perfectly, only took about 30 minutes to do all 4. I would recommend the Ragan Fab works kit.

PS. Interesting side note. I had to send my radio to Iron Cross for repair (display out) and the told me to check my fairing brackets when then called about my repairs. They said they could see the radio had been resting on the handle bar saddle bolts, They also said Harley had a service notice about the bolts being to long and damaging the radio...I'll get the service note when my radio returns tomorrow. Hmmmm.
