Enjoy the best ride you'll ever experience on an FLH
I don't have a problem with the ride, i just wanted to lower it to see if it was easier on my knees since i have severe RA but i just started to take Enbrel and my RA is getting better...
are you sure you only lowered 1"? I am 280 + wife and don't bottom out at 1". My friend installed the same kit I have (road 6 customs 1-3") and complained the same, turned out he installed in the max lowering position instead of 1". mIKE
I'm sure that's due to individual riding style more than being lowered. I have the Road6Customs lowering blocks on my Road King and I'm using the second holes which is supposed to be 2 inches lower. I can ride the Dragon and not drag boards if I don't want to. It's all in the Rider!

I had to remove my LA Choppers lowering kit too. I did not drag anything but my tire bottomed in the fender. Not real bad with just me on the bike but I didn't go 1 mile with the wife on and bottomed twice with 45 psi air. When I got the kit the instructions said for solo rider only. They didn't say that in the parts catalog. I really don't have any ride issues with the HD suspension and medium oil but liked the lowered CG the kit gave me. The motor company put the conduit that carries the lighting wires too close to the CL of the fender by an inch (according to the service manual) so the tire got into it a little when it bottomed in the fender. It looks like that will be a real PIA to change if I ever have the fender off. I will be selling my kit too. It looks like some people have had good luck with it.
