Default Interesting experience at the Dealership!

I bought a 2010 Street Glide last December. I had the bike in for some warranty work (they replaced a scratched wheel) and at the same time I asked them to remove the OEM fork springs and put a progressive lowering spring in. They did it no problem and charged me 1.5hours of labour.

Last week I took the bike in to have the radio replaced under warranty and decided to put the OEM fork springs back in...this time they charged me 3hours labour

I called a couple of other dealerships to ask for a quote to swap the fork springs and they all quoted the 3hours of labour.
So not sure if they screwed up the first time or over charging for the second time...

I'm a guessing that since the wheel was already coming off, they were gonna do you a deal.

Deal- Deeley don't see them 2 words side by each often.

If you don't mind, I'm curious why you went back to the OE spring. Did you lower the back as well? Too bad it didn't work out for you, kind of an expensive lesson but thats life.

I can't believe they installed the springs for 1 hour labor the first time...That must have been a mistake or over sight.

I was quoted 4 hrs for my front end, which made me decide to do it myself.

I'm guessing that since warranty was paying for the wheel R&R, that they cut you a deal the first time. They may also have underestimated the time the first time.

Thanks guys...I just wanted to make sure they weren't over charging me for the second time. As for why I went back;
- the bike didn't lean far enough on the kickstand
- I find more wind protection with the oem springs in
- I like the handling better
- it actually is less strain on my back with the bar reach.
And yes the back is lowered!

Sounds like you got treated well. I would keep giving them my business.
