With this collection, under a leather jacket and chaps, along with a full-face Shoei helmet, I can ride regardless of the temperature and never get cold. I love riding to work on mornings when the temperature is below 20 degrees. It's almost magical. This collection worked on a VTX-1800 with a windshield but no lowers. Now, I have an ultra classic. It's going to be great!
I'm surprised no one mentioned Warm-n-Safe. Reason I like their jacket liner is that its not insulated and packs very small. If you're touring and don't know what kinda weather you may encounter, thats important. At least it is to me. The Gerbings jacket seemed too bulky and took up too much room. Under a jacket the liner made it too tight. For the rider thats not touring and can swap out to a larger size outer jacket, the Gerbing jacket is a great choice. But if your leaving for a multi week trip, need to pack for any situation and need all the room you can get, well, you choose.
Oh, and its cheaper too.

I had a really bad experience with Warm and Safe. The fit on the gloves was way off, there was something in one of the fingers that would poke into the end of one of them and the pinky was really long - really poor quality control. The dual temp controller stopped working and was a really crappy piece. They were hard to deal with and it wound up costing me the price of the controller and shipping a couple of times and the order/gear was never right. I went with Gerbings and that stuff has been great; perfect. The quality difference between the two companies is night and day and there really isn't that much difference in price. Sounds like you've been happy with your stuff but I'll never try them again. there is a lot more to this story but that's the basics of it.

I think alot of us can say the same thing about almost any company. Including HD...
Some good some bad experiences. The jacket I got was too small. I had no problems returning it. And my dual controller works great.
Sorry you has issues...
Gerbings Extreme Element jacket & pants. Gerbings gloves and insoles. Danner Ft. Lewis insulated boots. Shark Evoline II helmet. Cheap microfiber neck gaiter. I've ridden in 16 degree weather with no discomfort.
This is the setup I will be buying shortly. I have owned Danner boots for years and their isn't any better.
Except it is made for snowmobiling not motorcycling so does not include abrasion protection (it uses polyester which will melt into your skin in a slide and is horribly painful when it does) and does not have armor
You can get Cordura sled gear that will protect JUST as well as bike gear..how do I know? I have some.
Anyway let's be honest, unless the bike gear is competition grade leather or heavy denier Cordura nylon, it WILL come apart Or wear thru in a crash. I just made a suggestion for saving some cash..that's it.
