Just curious, why are you putting in a feuling pump? Depends on how you get to the cam chest as to what you should replace while in there, are you going through the rockers or are you using adjustables? Is this stock or otherwise?

Might as well put their cam plate in too, bigger oil ports for more flow from what I understand. Also, might as well replace inner cam bearings with timken's while you're there. I'll be doing all this and then some (cams and 103 BB) come mid Octorber.

the motor is stock. im putting in a fueling oil pump because the stock one went out. i was going to replace it with a stock pump but got a very good deal on the fueling. not sure how i am going to get in to the cam chest. what would be the best way to go? was thinking about getting adjustable push rods and new lifters because of the miles or is that unnecessary? any advice would be great. this will be the fist time i get this in depth working on my bike but i have a manual and can follow directions so i think ill be ok. will i need any specialty tool of this job?

Well with 50k miles, I would replace the lifters just because. Maybe not necessary, but I would. I would go through the rockers if it were me and freshen up all the seals up top and drill out the rocker supports for better oil return. I would also install a quick connect (Herko has a great one) on the fuel line crossover to make easier pulls in the future. I would also change out the fuel filter while I was messing with the tank. I would also put new inner cam bearings in and check your existing cams for any hardening wearing off, etc. and replace if necessary. I might have a stock set of 07 cams in the garage, but not sure (in case you find the hardening wearing off on yours). They would have less miles than what you have on yours. Replace the tensioners if necessary as well.

Thanks for all the good advice! How much do you drill out the rocker supports? Would you install new push rods?

You use a #43 drill bit which I think is .089. I would reuse the stock pushrods.
