Yesterday during a tour on the FLHTK my "check engine" light came on.
After a qucik check I noticed that the cruise control was stuck to the right.
I moved it to the middle position and the check engine light went out.
The problem is that the switch probably snapped a spring or something inside. It is still working, but does not return to the middle position, even worse, the vibration moves it around making the bike behave erratically.
Before I bring it in under warranty, I wanted to hear if someone else had this before. The dealer might say that I broke it and present me the bill for a new part.
I am familiar with the switch and it's location...I have seen some of them get stuck under the radio select switch when pushed to the right to set the cruise...Due to the radio select switch not correctly installed and sticking out too far it lets the cruise button get stuck under it...If this is not the case ...Take it back to the dealer.
