The paint is all waterborn paint now,my dad tried supply shops he uses at the car dealer he works at and they could not match it, they wasted 2 gallons trying to. He had his ppg rep take my side panel to match it so I could get my inner fairing done.matches perfect. Tou need to have someone who sprays ppg waterborn paint to do it, not alot around pgh that do it yet.
and seeing if you can, by following the "Paint Wizard", find your color.
It may help.
I did a PPG search on Google and found a couple of local distributors. After talking to a couple I seem to have found someone who knows what he talking about. That my color can be had. It is a 3 part system. Color, candy, clear. But, they can not sell it and I can not buy it -because of where their store is and where I live here in California- because of it's VOC. However, I can have it shipped to a friend in another area from a store in another area and then get it from him. I may have to take my motorcycle part and spray equipment to the other location, where my friend lives, to use the product. But it is doable.

if it can had then carson city harley they got sedona orange for me and it did not match. thats why iam changing the color. not all paints in california are water bourne u can still get solvent base and be compliant. i bought water base paint for my wifes 2006 flhx so i can paint her fender. thats what i have been doing for 36 years i had my own shop for 18 years until VOC laws started getting tuffer and it cost to much for me to keep up so iam now retired working outta my garage. i do bikes mostly some cars but small stuff in fact once iam done painting my bike i will post pics. the was sedona orange it will be fire mist orange which to is a nicer and cleaner looking paint and it will all be uiformed and i can buy the paint anytime i want to and not have to go through all the crap with the MOCO not giving paint codes. should u buy your paint from harley you will see thats its a acyrlic urethane which is single stage but you can clear it but while your waiting for the paint to tack up dirt will be settling in it. unless you take it to a body shop that has a spray booth but harley paint is not compliant here in california.
