How many pumps? That might take a long time to fill but I digress....
Ok not sure what I did wrong the first time but was able to fill the neck this time with Red&Tacky
Pumped until a bit oozed out and cleaned up with some qtips...it also pushed out some grease that looked like snot but not a whole lot so it must have been sorta empty
Amsoil Synthic Purple EP 2 (EXTREME PRESSURE) with moly 3 or 4 pumps with every lube service that I do, it stays where you put it and it moves the same summer or winter. I have sold lubes of all kinds for many years and this is the one I choose.

when greasing, i temporarily sealed off the bottom of the neck with some heavy cord...lets the grease get up to the top bearing...
I tried that and managed to get a little out of the top but only on one side. Got a lot that leaked out the bottom. I'll try some heavier cord.
