Hi to all that got the tranny or drive train problem I have a 06 Ultra and a friend of mine purchased a 07 Ultra , he asked me to take it for a drive and I asked him what I was looking for and he said will it sounds Like rocks in a can and I didn't drive it very far before I heard it, so then I decided to take it on the Highway and I didn't like 5 gear at all to much whine and 6 gear you have to be going to fast to get into it on the roads I mostly drive on, I've owned and worked on Harley Davidson Motors and Trannys for 30 years and to me Harley didn't do there home work on this one , The Engine by the way was much smoother than my 06and I don't know why they didn't make 5 gear and 6 gear quite for the highway, at first when I heard of all the changes for 07 I was wishing I would have waited but as of now I would rather have my 06, so to all I'm new to the form but I hope the Motor Company gets this fixed for you all.
WOW, someone had a bad day at work.................[8D]
Newf, thanks for your bike write up. Not all bikes have this problem, my buds 07 Road King has none of the listed/noted problems. I hope HD rectifys all the troubled bikes soon.
I'd be upset also, if my new bike had the same problems.
I do have a new '07 with a six speed and I love it. It's a far superior bike to my '05 Road King I ride at work. I called the guy a dumbass troll because that is what he is. 1st post and it's a post about a transmission problem on a '07? How many other threads are on this forum that he could have added to? Hell he could have at least introduced himself in another thread but no, he had to try and bash the bike right off. Smells like a troll to me and a dumb one at that.
