I have an 07 SG too. I am currently using ths stock seat for the back rest. I have a C&C and it will definitely help you as far as reach goes and it looks bad ***! I find it to be uncomfortable and I can feel a ton of heat through it. That is just my experience with it. I'm having comfort issues with both seats.

Having someone modify your stock seat sounds like the way for youto go since it will be a custonm fit
