Brian --- Just picked mine up in June. Had Rinehart True Duals put on. (Also Stage 1 & make sure you have the Pro Super Tuner, not the Street Performance tuner.) Heat was terrible. Rineharts? I don't know, but I got rid of them. Put on Vance & Hines Power Duals, Rush Big Louie slip-ons, and went to a dyno where they know what they're doing. (It was mostly tuning) I'm likin' my bike again. No more heat than what I think should be normal. People can say what they want. This is what I did & no more excessive heat.
Removing the cat without changing the air cleaner and mufflers isn't going to allow the motor to breathe significantly better to take advantage of the AFR changes. That's my understanding. Let's hear from a real mechanic!!
Woops, forgot to mention the high flow AC and exhaust. Those were actually done first. The AFR is adjusted through my Thundermax.
