Its been in the nineties here for days. Someday have been tolerable and others just TFHot. I think over like 94 degrees and the bike gets parked, sitting at the traffic lites is too much, and we don't have to wear buckets here.
Let's face it, we Northern Boys (And girls) are puzzies when it comes to heat. 92°F here today, I took a short run to drop some stuff off to my son, and made a stop at the bank.
Hot air blowing past when moving, turning sticky when in traffic and stopped.
I parked it, and will do a midnight run when it drops into the 70s. We occasionally got in the 90-100°F range in the past, but this summer has been brutal. Not for me.
What a bunch of Nancies! LOL! Seriously, invest in a cool vest and let it freeze for about an hour or so. I ride daily in the Arizona heat and my cool vest is a life saver!
Did a lot of over 100 deg riding when I lived in the midwest , bike was preferable because the 4 wheeler didn't have AC . Still was like riding in a blast oven , I'll still do it in low humidity when the need arise .
I ride every day regardless of the heat. Its get hot in the NYC area especially when the traffic slows or you get caught at lights. Not a big deal, a little heat will kill your bike long before it kills you. Just gotta keep her movin.
Never too hot 4 me. But then I live in the country and don't spend much time in the cities where there is too much pavement, and not enough airflow. And I don't live in Phoenix.
