I think that some of the Harley stuff is junkie looking crap too.
What about that front "bumper trim" on the ultras?
Also the "chintzy" deflectors that they put on their lower legs and saddlebags?
Talk about cheap plastic ****... on a $20 K ride.. yeah, stylin'...
I've bought Kury products off/on over 10 years between my metrics/H-D. I had (1) issue with a clamp. One phone call = new clamp in the mail. Until I have an unsettled issue, I'll still consider Kuryakyn parts...
I have been buying there products for over 10 year never had an issue if it broke or pealed or whatever they replaced it! I even had some floorboards that were 2 yrs old that the chrome was pealing took it to the tent in Daytona and he got a set of brand new ones and said here! no charge!
I lost 1 of the cam bolts on my adjustable tour pack kit and they sent out 2 of them at no charge. nothing wrong I just didn't tighten it up before my ride. they treated me really good. maybe call a manager you may have gotten hooked up with an employee that was having a bad day.
I don't put too much emphasis on where **** comes from anymore. Almost every part you get from harley when you buy from the dealership for example the mirrors come from china , always irritated me that Harley puts Chinese crap in the store....almost everything you bolt in on or stick on is from china, with a name like Kuryakyn what would anyone expect . The few items u have ordered from them have been acceptable however I have run into them advertising stuff in the catalogue and called to order to find out they don't have it yet ready it's still in production or back order . It is what it is. But Harley gets stuff from china do that's a non factor in my opinion.
I stopped buying krappyakyn stuff years ago. All their chrome pegs rust way too quickly and their other stuff seems to rattle apart. Their luggage/bags might be ok but I wouldn't know because they'll never see another cent of my money.
I've looked in their catalog and I have yet to see anything that I'd put on my bike. It all looks like it's over-the-top flamboyant or cheap crap. No offense to anyone that patronizes them for bike gear. It's just not my personal style.
