45000 miles mostly with Vasque Sundowners, now with Aerostich Combat Lites. Awesome boots. Especially if you also ride a dual-sport.

HD Hustin work well for me. Also wear Oakley combat boots when riding in uniform.

I wear Timberland chukka boots with a gortex liner. Waterproof and comfortable.

I prefer the chukka style boots for comfort and mobility.

+1!! On these.

Have had the same pair for 20+ years of riding. Had them re-soled about 5 years ago. Replaced the leather laces about 5 times.
(Yes we still have a cobbler near us!) He does most of the State Troopers boots at the barracks near us.
He told me the my boots were superb quality.

Cost of the boot looks a lot better, when you factor in how long they last.

i have 6 different pair of HD boots and I just cannot wear them. They weigh my feet down so much I feel like I'm walking with cinder-blocks around my ankles.

I buy about every 24 months a new pair of Roper ostrich boots. I take them to the front counter, pay for them, then tell the cashier to give them to the "boot-guy" to take the leather soles off and put rubber soles on. The first couple of times I did this, i got the same puzzled look from the cashier, but they know me now. :-)

I usually get about 6 resoles in a 2 year period and as long as you keep polish on them, they look brand new until you just can't put any more soles on them.

boots - $90
6 resoles - $200
comfort while riding - priceless

Send your cruiserworks boots to Resole America, and they will resole your boots for $75.00. I sent them my boots and the turn-around was about a week. The materials they use look stronger than the original and you still retain the 100% waterproof quality.

Default Wolverines!

I picked up a pair of Wolverine boots from a local DSW a few years back and when the time comes I'll be buying another pair. They have a gortex lining and are relatively light. No steel or other crap - just a comfortable, supporting leather boot. I understand that Wolverine makes some of the Harley boots and know that they are a supplier of military wear.
