I've worn all different types. Now I wear "Orginial Swat" I get tham at a Uniform store. I have a waterproof/insulated pair for winter & vented pair for summer. I paid about $89 each. They have side zippers & work well.

Love my Sidi Onroads and wear them anytime I ride more than a few miles. They go touring, day rides and even have extended off road miles on them.

I bought a pair of Chippewa 17" tall steel toe enginer state trooper boots from Sportsmans Guide .. retail $230 . these were factory seconds SG had on sale for $130 . i then had my local cobler add a !/2 " to the heel and sole and i put steel taps on heel and sole to make them last longer. i am short so the extra 1/2 inch helps me flat foot it.

I don't wear boots all the time but walmart has decent ones for around $20 so if they wear out or anything you can replace them real easy.

Sears Duty 8" not a good work Boot but perfect for riding,light in weight,water proof with side zippers for easy on and off,a comfortable all day long boot !!
