I wear Bates Delta-9 side zip waterproof boots( Goretex), comfort fit, won't burn up in the summer, best boots I've worn, went out west this summer, walked a lot feet never hurt. Their expensive, but they are the best boots by for all around footware while riding your bike. I've worn just about everything, I can't say enough about foot comfort when your on your bike.
20K bike and a fifty dollar pair of cool looking boots that kill your feet.
I see these guys wear boots that look cool, but just destory their feet at the end of the day, that's why I like these Bates so much.
Heck, you'd think i work for the company, NOPE, just like comfortable feet!

My runners 90% of the time. Wear boots 40+ hrs a week already, love the feel of runners, hoodie and skull cap helmet, nothin feels better goin down the road. And im not trying to be joe cool tough guy, its just more enjoyable for me this way. Cool weather will necessitate 2 pairs of socks, and my leather ( a real nice 300 dollar leather, with an HD patch) saved 400 over buyin the HD hahahaha
I have a pair of Limmer Lightweights. Best boots I've ever owned and will probably be the last pair of boots I'll ever need. Lightweights is a bit of a misnomer as these are 2.8mm full leather boots. Most comfortable boots I've ever had and the most comfortable pair of anything I own. I wear them every day. When the soles wear out they can be replaced.

I love my Luchesse's but they are terrible riding boots because they have a leather sole and are slippery. Perhaps a pair of Ostrich ropers with the rubber sole conversion as suggested above?
