Default Touring intro

Hi all, just made the jump from my trusty Dyna to a 2008 Street Glide! I loved my Dyna, but renting a 2011 Glide for a week just did it for me. I enjoy longer and further rides and needed a bike to keep up.

I bought it used, with 13,000kms (converts to about 30 miles LOL!) It came with the stage one download, driving lights and some chrome.

I changed the antenna, AC cover, added Rinehart 4" slip ons, cruise control and noticed the upgraded Hogtunes speakers as a bonus. Also poped on the Clearview windsheild I bought for the rental ($40 at JP in Daytona!!) and sold the driving lights. What a dream!!!!

Next plan is to change the front rim/tire to a 18" from an 09-up......

Lookin' Good!!
You might want to go with the 2010 and up though for the front wheel as that's when the 18's came out.
The 2009 had the 17".
I don't know what size of wheel that the 08's had? 16" I'm thinkin'?

Thanks, I want the 18" and would quickly figure that the 09's only had 17's. Yes my 08' has 16" front runner.
