Hello all, maybe I'm getting to old. any body have any suggestions on quieting down my V&H touring ovals, I understand that they do not have packing. would like a little deeper tone with less bark. thanks
Mine are extremely loud. Been thinking bout having the HD salesman keep an eye open for me a set of CVO slip-ons that someone wants to get rid of when they buy a new bike.
I'm there too. I think mine have gotten louder. An all day ride or a trip is down right annoying. Has anyone tried repacking or rewrapping the baffles? They look great, just too loud.
if you are after a switch, changing to the supertrapp 4" megs has all the performance gains with a unique disc baffle system which breaks up sound waves, a solid end cap is used.
The H-D nightstick and fatshots are made for them by supertrapp and can also be used to gain performance with reduced noise, by similarly stacking discs and using a closed endcap.
I'm new to the site... Have a 2011 Electra Glide Ultra Limited Put Vance and Hines Dresser Monster Rounds 4 inch high output. Bike runs good and can listen to my stereo...My guys in the back say they can hear me fine...Just a lower rubleing tone.
By the way I want to put a stage one with a bigger breather and a chip. Can anyone help me with this. I get soooo many different opinions regarding the stage 1 or race tuner...not sure which is which.

I'd suggest starting a new thread asking those questions...it may get buried and not as many eyes on here
Took the mufflers (Vance & Hines Touring Ovals) off today and found there is nothing to repack! The baffles are in a sealed, welded tube. I'd be beter off looking for some other slip ons than screwing around any more....
