Have heard this is a touring muffler of choice forlong runs and deep sound without all the loud noise and ear ringing. Would like to hear from others who have or had them on their bagger and a sound clip if anyone has made one.
Have only seen and heard them on one bike, fairly quiet, deep and really funky looking, like they belonged on a hotrod from the 70's, but sorta liked the look.
I had a set at one time, nice and throaty, quiet, but very heavy large and ugly. If they made a set that sounded like these that didn't look like truck mufflers I would buy them in a heart beat.
A friend had them on an '05 95" Road Glide. He loved them, they worked really well with his (mild) build, but they weren't what I would call a quiet pipe - mind you, the quiet SE slip ons are as loud as I want on a touring bike. He thought they were quiet enough!
He's buying a new RG and those are the mufflers he's putting on it.
I don't like the looks, only oval I like the looks of are Vance Hines. They may be a bit loud though. I'm also looking for something in between stock and loud.
That is why they are so quiet............because of the size of them.
I had a pair of the SPO's on my bike for 1 day................way too quiet and no power compared to the 2-1 I replaced with them. I took them off that night and sold them on Ebay, and went back to a 2-1 system again.
I've been running a set for two years and love em. Dual lined
stainless, not chrome, even tho they look chromed. Mufflers are as
wide as the bottom of the hard bags, looks cool. I don't expect to
ever have to hassle with loose of burnt out baffles either.
When I trade in the RK, the mufflers are going on the new ride.
I've never bought an S&S product that wasn't top notch quality.
