Im using the Kuryakn relocators 1" out and 1" forward, but its all done at the floor board pivot. So the board may hit a little sooner but it will fold, also since the board is moved forward 1" the rear of the board is a little higher than stock now .

Your only moved the bracket out and when they hit there is nothing to pivot.

Ditto here. No extenders on my bike but the brackets are getting worn down as fast as the floorboards themselves are.

I know it might not be the extenders that are causing the bracket to hit but they have to reduce the clearance. I did have friends (heavy) go down doing a right turn and hit a heaved up pavement bump. It was late at night and beverages were involved else they might have avoided it. Broken ankle and hand.

It is definitely possible to scrape the fixed bracket and not the pivoting foot board. Depends on the camber and irregularities in the road. I have done it many times with and without foot board extenders.

I scrapped my floorboards on my 1986 all the time. I haven’t scrapped the floorboards or brackets on my 2010 yet. Ever with the Harley Goodies extensions I haven’t scrapped them.

I buddy of mine went down and wreaked on the Deals Gap this past weekend because he leaned into it and drug his bracket and not his floorboard. We looked at the bike and there are no marks on the floorboard and there are deep scratches on the floorboard bracket. The cop that showed up told us that he see's it two-three times a day and the "big" Harleys always hit in on the same bracket and high center......

P.S. I was behind him and he has a stock 2007 floorboards setup and I have Kuryakyn extenders on my 2011 and I never drug anything. ( of course I am a puss and slow down alot )

I removed mine too because it increased the tendency to drag the footboards. Live and learn.

Mine are coming off if I head to NC for a spirited ride. I can scrape the bracket all day long at 45mph 2 up, and sometimes unloaded- and that's in Michigan with no decent roads. I've started to shift my weight off the seat some to reduce the lean angle, it helps. It's definitely unnerving when the bracket hits for the first time, not the floorboard...

I raised my brackets when I headed to NC for some spirited riding in '09. Dropped them back down when I got home. It's a nice thing to be able to do. Then the MoCo messed it up with the '09 frame change when they made the boards fixed.
