I have a 2009 RKC that has been killing my shoulders from day 1. I changed to Heritage bars and Sundowner seat and that helped a lot, but still no cigar. Changed to a Dyna seat and saw some improvement, then tried WO518 handlebars and got really bad results. The bars are great, but just not right for my 5' 9" body with 32" sleeve and 30" inseam.
Understand that the 2011 Road Kings come with a semi ape bar and was wondering if anyone with my approximate measurements has tried them.
Tired at throwing money at guessing and the best solution I have found to date is a Honda VTX which has become my main ride.
I know where I need to be - what I don't know is which handlebars will put me there. Dealer has limited choices - none of which are right, and it costs too much to just keep ordering something on-line just and pay for the installation only to find that I have failed again.
10" WO Chubby Apes. Fixed the wrist position, add 3" of height and 2" of pullback. They look good also. I am 5'10. Only issue is they are wider (36") and when parking (turned all the way right or left) I have to be careful as my arm is extended out all the way. But that is minor to all the pluses.
